There are many complications which are associated with pregnancy and it can start at any point of time. According to the Pathophysiology of Preeclampsia the onset of the problem is during the 20th week of pregnancy.
This syndrome is very specific to pregnancy and a few symptoms which are noticed are hypertension and then followed by proteinuria. The Pathophysiology of Preeclampsia shows that there is a disorder in the cell line or the endothelial cells are affected which actually results in the microangiopathy of different organs which are affected. The organs which are affected are the brain followed by the liver and kidney and the placenta is also affected which is the major drawback during a pregnancy. Hypertension is the first symptom that is seen during the syndrome of Preeclampsia. There can be other organs which get affected in this process and it is noticed quite commonly. There have been many researches which show that women suffer most due to cell injury and this process sis elevated in their body and it's not very late until they become symptomatic for this syndrome. There were some major changes in some of the profiles such as the prostacyclin and a few more and there was alteration in plasminogen activator or the inhibitor and other fibronectin. The Pathophysiology of Preeclampsia also include the oxidative stress which can be noticed in the different pathways such as glycolysis and many more. There can also be any sorts of inflammation in the circulatory system which poses a great risk during the pregnancy and also it can be due to the abnormality in the metabolic or the humoral pathways. There is a complete dysfunction which is noticed in the endothelial cells and thereby being one of the causes of Preeclampsia. Research has shown that the symptom of hypertension causes the injuries to the endothelial cells and which automatically affects the growth factors that are responsible for the endothelial cells. The factor which is responsible for the growth of the placental cells are also affected to a great extent and it plays a major role during pregnancy and there are complications involved if the function is altered.
Sometimes any disorders in the connective tissue may also result in preeclampsia and because of so many problems the circulation in the placenta is affected which is harmful for the baby and sometimes the placenta can be under perfused when the mass increases.
